Apple Pie Green Smoothie

Apple Pie Green Smoothie - Lake Country - Okanagan - British Columbia

Another smoothie post! I know, but I’ve been experimenting with different flavours and this one was delicious! Winter arrived a little early for us this year, and one thing I love to do when it’s snowing out is bake! I love the warmth it brings to the house, and it makes everything feel so cozy. But… I’ve already made a few baked goods this past week so when I was craving something sweet this morning I opted to experiment with this Apple Pie Green Smoothie instead. You know.. because that 80/20 rule to keep things balanced, right?! Haha! I like to load my smoothies up with extras to help us get more nutrients in, but you can leave the optional items out if you prefer. You might need to make some adjustments though so you get the right consistency. Here’s what I put in, of course feel free to adjust to your liking:

Made approx. 2 large glasses
  • 1 Apple (cored & peeled)
  • 1 Banana (frozen)
  • Handful of Baby Spinach
  • 1 Tablespoon Maple Syrup
  • 1 Scoop Vanilla Plant-based Protein Powder
  • 1 Tsp. Cinnamon
  • 1/4 Tsp. Nutmeg
  • 1 Tbsp. Ground Flaxseed
  • Optional: Chia Seeds, Hemp Hearts, Bee Pollen
  • 2 cups Unsweetened Original Almond Milk (more or less depending on preference)
  • 1 cup Ice Cubes

Blend everything, except for the ice cubes, together until smooth. Add more Almond Milk (or water) until you get to the consistency you like. If you prefer a colder smoothie add in the Ice Cubes and pulse until blended. Enjoy!
