Thanksgiving weekend was especially great this year since I was able to photograph the Doulos family having fun at their neighbourhood park! I am so thankful for all my clients who have supported me as I slowly get my small business off the ground, and for all those that have given me the opportunity to get back into my creative spirit and find my niche.
Only 6 more days until Halloween! It’s definitely one of my favourite ‘holidays’, so I’m getting into the festivities this week by decorating the house, carving some pumpkins, and posting this super cute family session that we did at Gamble Orchards here in Lake Country! Loving this day!! We did a winter shoot last year, so this was a fun change for their family and school photos this year. It was a great evening out at the Gamble Orchards’ pumpkin patch and I’m already looking forward to their family session next year!
I love this time of year! Warm coffee and tea, leggings, and fall family photography sessions!! The only downside to shooting outdoors in the fall is having to cross your fingers and pray to the weather gods before every shoot. The clouds were starting to loom over the valley just before this session, so we rushed out to our location a little earlier. We managed to beat the rain and even get a little bit of sunshine towards the end. Whew!!
What a great way to spend a Tuesday morning! At Kaloya Regional Park with the Schreyer-Klassen family, soaking up the morning sun and enjoying the park all to ourselves. I was delighted to meet their newest member of the family, Westley, and he seemed delighted to meet me! Such a cutie! Even the ducks thought he was awesome and decided they were going to hang around with us.
Since we actually have snow falling before Christmas this year I just had to go up to the mountains and get a few snowy winter photos in before the 2015 season wraps up. I am so glad that I did because it was probably the most fun I’ve had on a shoot so far. The Harrison family is full of laughs and a lot of fun, they certainly made my job easier! Happy Holidays!
