I feel like I say this every year, but seriously, I cannot believe how fast 2016 is going by and that we’re already in September! The year has been amazing so far, and as much as I’m already missing summer I’m happy to get back into a routine again. I did a fun test shoot last week of some garden delights that I harvested; capturing one of my favourite things about summer before it’s gone for another season.
First thing on the list is slowly taking apart the garden and getting it ready for winter. I planted a few last minute lettuce and spinach seeds; they should be ready just after the first frost, making the leaves sweeter. And I’ve got some more carrots to plant sometime this week as well, which should be deliciously ready for late fall/early winter. I’ve never done a late fall crop before so I’m pretty excited to see how this works out!
Happy Fall Gardening!
